A substantial Italian bar cabinet attributed to Paolo Buffa, dating to the 1940s. The wide CASE is executed in walnut veneer, contrasted by slender ebonized legs and brass detailing. A gently curved glass panel follows the upper shelf.

The cabinet opens to reveal a complete fitted bar interior, with a mirrored serving area, glass shelving and two integrated drawers. It is characteristic of Italian luxury cabinetmaking of the period.

The cabinet belongs to the decorative language associated with Paolo Buffa's work of the 1940s, combining classical proportion with increasingly modern lines and finely executed cabinetry. Buffa frequently collaborated with specialist Lombard workshops to realise highly individual pieces of furniture, resulting in considerable variation between documented examples.

Restoration & Provenance

Carefully sourced in Italy and restored in-house at our gallery in Rabat. The cabinet structure and walnut veneer were inspected and preserved wherever possible, with the wooden surfaces refinished only where required. The ebonized elements, brass details, mirrored interior and glass components were carefully retained and treated as part of the restoration.

Minor age-related traces remain consistent with the period and are documented in the photographs. Professionally packed by our team for secure international delivery.
