Hand-thrown earthenware Mid-century modern 1960s plate signed underside a mid-century French studio piece in the Vallauris tradition.
Brilliant, layered red glaze (orange-to-carmine marbling) highlights a raised Occitan/Toulouse cross picked out in contrasting matte/gold-ochre slip. The rim shows a subtle lip; the reverse retains a wall-hanger (can be displayed flat or hung).
Materials: Terracotta (earthenware) with polychrome glaze and relief slip decor
Use: Striking vide poche on a console, color accent on shelving, or wall plate.
