Vintage Italian Six-Light Brass and Opaline Glass Floor Lamp, 1950s

A six-light Italian floor lamp dating to the 1950s, in the style of Stilnovo. The composition combines a slender black-lacquered central stem with brass fittings and six curved brass arms, each supporting a white opaline glass diffuser.

The elongated opaline shades are set into perforated brass collars, creating a distinctive contrast between softly diffused glass and the more architectural metal structure. The looping brass arms gather around the central stem beneath a tall tapered brass finial, while a three-legged black metal base gives the lamp a particularly light, vertical profile.

The combination of opaline glass, brass and black lacquered metal is closely associated with progressive Italian lighting of the 1950s and particularly with the design language developed by Stilnovo during the period.

Carefully sourced in Italy and restored in-house at our gallery in Rabat. The brass elements and lacquered structure were preserved wherever possible, while the six opaline glass diffusers were carefully inspected and retained. Minor traces of age remain consistent with the period and are documented in the photographs. Professionally packed for secure international delivery.
