20th century French vintage collectible wall shelf in black-lacquered steel tube and perforated sheet (rigitulle), designed by Mathieu Matégot in the mid-1950s. The sinuous, treble-clef silhouette frames two openwork cubbies, yielding a light, graphic composition that reads as both sculpture and storage.
A quintessential Matégot piece ideal for books and objets, and at home in contemporary rooms or serious mid-century design collections.
